Pampers don't pamper anymore! March 7, 2010 J. Verwers (JANESVILLE, WI, US) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Compared to the original Cruisers they are half as thick. The mesh lining is gone. A couple inches of padding is gone from the top back, leaving only the paper shell for the entire butt. They are about 1 centimeter wider in the crotch. Maybe times are tough and they need to cut back on materials, but I'm afraid they are going to lose far too many customers who were once devoted. I won't dare put my daughter to bed over night in one anymore because that little extra absorbency on the backside is what kept her from soaking through. So now we have to resort to another brand for overnites. Plus during the day they are so quickly soaked that they need changed a lot more than before. So maybe that is their plan. To make us use more so we buy more. I'm very disappointed. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I'm not paying Pampers prices anymore for half the diaper and that's unfortunate too because that's all we have put her in for 10+ months.
New pampers Cruisers are terrible, they leak!!! March 7, 2010 Wei-huang 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Was a pamper fan but we switched to different brands.
New pampers Cruisers are terrible, they leak every other day!
They removed some liner and protectors (trying to save cost??)
As compared to the old Cruisers, the new Cruisers are with terribly bad design and always leak!
How dare they!!!! March 4, 2010 Chryse Wymer (Ravenna, Ohio) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was starting to wonder what all the fuss was about when it comes to Cruisers changing, and then I got them from Wal-Mart. How in the world did Pampers think us loyal customers wouldn't notice a drastic drop in quality? For whatever reason, the mesh is still in the diapers we have bought from Giant Eagle. I'm switching brands. I'm not willing to take chances on a "crappy" diaper.
The best March 2, 2010 J. Putz (Oregon) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Pampers are the best diapers in existence. They hold in everything they are supposed to, have a nice fabric-y texture (not plastic-y), the fasteners open and close as much as you want without tearing the diaper, and they even have a nice scent.
I want my old cruiser back! March 2, 2010 Jen In Cincy (Cincinnati, OH USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I wrote the following review in December 2009 on a smaller box of size 4:
I bought a box back in October 2009 and noticed they had a rough stiff feel to them on the outside and the mesh liner was gone. I was told by P&G that it a was a thing they were trying and not a permanent change. Well, the geniuses at P&G have decided to run with it and it IS a permanent change now - just in time for me to have spent $60 on diapers that suck. There is no absorbent material on the backside of the diaper at all, the mesh liner is gone, and they feel stiff instead of soft. I called P&G and spoke with customer relations and emphatically voiced my anger over this move - I have been using these diapers for years on my children and have loved them up until now. These diapers really are horrible. My son has been leaking through the outer liner and I never had that problem before this fall - and I used to let him fill those up pretty far sometimes. My other son is in Swaddlers, and I just bought a new box and they feel stiff too, and there also is no absorbent material on the back of the diaper at all! How do they expect these to work?
Update:
Still not having real problems with leakage of pee, but again, my son is small and not a heavy wetter. But poop! That is the problem! As I suspected would happen - without the mesh liner and without the absorbent layer on the backside my son now has a rash on the front side and on his genitals, and around the legs due to a few loose bowel movements having nowhere else to go but to the front and out the sides. With the mesh liner the poop would have been siphoned into the diaper - and now that's impossible - it just gets squished around all over the inside of the diaper and out the sides. Wish the little bugger wouldn't hide from me when he poops. Customer Relations told me that the diaper was not designed to absorb poop - I guess the geniuses at P&G didn't realize they had a product that actually helped in that area - the OLD CRUISER - and they've gone and f'd it up.
